At the 47th International Tourism Fair in Belgrade, one of the most important tourist events in the region, its tourism the offer was also presented by the Tourist Organization of the Municipality of Ljubovija. The performance was realized within the joint stand of the Tourism Organization of the Western region Serbia, where 12 tourist organizations from this part of the country were presented this year.
In the halls of the Belgrade Fair, where they gather for four days tourist organizations, agencies, hoteliers and representatives of the tourism industry from the country and abroad, a special emphasis is placed on the promotion of local people destination. Among them, Ljubovija presented its natural beauties, manifestations and contents intended for active and family vacations, which once again confirmed that it occupies an important place on the tourist map of Western Serbia.
The stand of the Region of Western Serbia and the Tourism Organization of the Municipality of Ljubovija on Friday were visited by Minister of Tourism and Youth Husein Memic, Minister of Culture Nikola Selaković, Deputy Minister of Tourism Goran Josipović, as well as the President of the Municipality Ljubovija Milan Jovanović. Key tourism potentials were presented at the stand, with a special focus on the development of active tourism, as well as plans for improvement of tourist infrastructure.
Director of the Tourism Organization of the Municipality of Ljubovija, Ivana Smiljanić, pointed out that Ljubovija has a lot to offer tourists throughout the year.
- As the slogan of the 47th International Tourism Fair in Belgrade is "One trip, a thousand stories", I am sure that every coming to Ljubovia brings with it a thousand stories. Ljubovija is an ideal destination for all those who like rafting, hiking, hunting and fishing, and for all lovers unspoiled nature is the perfect place for a vacation. What you must not miss is a visit to the mountain Bobija, the pearl of Western Serbia, where there are more from one hundred sources of drinking water. Drina is what captivates visitors the most, who return to us again and again, whether they enjoy ethnic houses or modern facilities with swimming pools. by the river. Don't forget to visit the Roman bridge, which has resisted the timid Ljubovidja river for centuries, as well as the Lokva viewpoint, which offers a view of the river canyon Trešnjice, the habitat of the griffon vulture, and the emerald green Drina. I also invite you to the Ljubovija Gastro Festival, which takes place on the second Saturday of May, as well as to the Drina Days regatta, a traditional event held on the second Saturday of July. Fair visitors had the opportunity to be informed at the Ljubovija stand about accommodation facilities, rural tourism, rafting on the Drina, hiking and excursion routes, as well as event tourism which attracts an increasing number of guests every year. The presentation took place with great interest from visitors, as well as from representatives of the tourism industry showed interest in cooperation and networking.
Additional attention of the visitors was also attracted by the prize game organized as part of the joint performance of the Western Region Serbia. Visitors had the opportunity to test their knowledge about the tourist sites of this part of the country, while those who correctly answered the questions about Ljubovia could win valuable prizes prepared by the Tourism Organization of the Ljubovija municipality in cooperation with sponsors. Among the prizes are a weekend for two people at STD "Sunčica" in Ljubovija, a weekend for two people with full board in the ethno village of Vrhpolje, as well as gift packages from the company "Elmag" and the Tourist Organization of the municipality of Ljubovija.

- The tourism organization of the Western Serbia region traditionally presents itself at the Tourism Fair, the most important tourist event in the country. 12 tourist organizations are present at the stand, including the Tourist Organization of Ljubovija. This year, the Western Serbia region recorded exceptional results and findings are among the most visited tourist regions in Serbia. We believe that the year 2026, with new investments in infrastructure and tourism projects, will further strengthen the position of tourism as an important driver of development - said Nešić.
The President of the Municipality of Ljubovija, Milan Jovanović, emphasized the strategic importance of tourism for local development and further investments in this area.
- Tourism, in addition to agriculture, is the main point in the development strategy of our municipality. We try to invest every year in infrastructure projects, but also in promotion and presentation of our municipality through the media and at fairs, because only in this way can we grow, develop and provide our tourists with the best possible offer - pointed out Jovanović.
The International Tourism Fair in Belgrade lasts until Sunday, February 22, and Ljubovia's performance at this event represents another step towards strengthening the visibility of the municipality and positioning it as an attractive destination for domestic and foreign tourists.
