The gastro festival is the second largest event in the municipality of Ljubovija.
The organizer of the event, which brings together a large number of participants from the country and abroad, is the Tourist Organization of the Municipality of Ljubovija.
It was created with the aim of promoting the Alphabet cuisine, ethno table and specialties of our region.
Considering that the event is of an international character, participants and visitors have the opportunity to get acquainted with the customs and culinary
specialties of various regions.
The gastro festival is held every year on the second Saturday in May, and the competition is
takes place in the following disciplines:
- Preparation of fish soup,
- Ethno table,
- Modern cuisine,
- Bakery,
- Confectionery,
- Carving (carving on fruits and vegetables),
- Fastest gastro fest chef (onion chopping competition).
Judges at the event are professors from the High School Hotel in Belgrade, licensed for this type of competition.
Gastro festival is an event accompanied by a rich cultural and entertainment program and is of great
importance for the promotion and development of tourism in our municipality.
