IV SUP REGATTA ON THE DRINA: "Ljubovija - Na veslu priča" gathered about 170 participants

Ljubovija - From Gornja Trešnjica to Vrhpolje, the participants enjoyed socializing and the natural beauty of the Drina
Today, August 22, the IV SUP regatta "Ljubovija - Na veslu priča" was held on the Drina river, on the section from Gornja Trešnjica to the ethno village of Vrhpolje. The regatta was organized by the Rafting Club "Drina Regatta", with the support of the Tourism Organization of the Municipality of Ljubovija, and gathered around 170 participants. 120 participants sailed on the Drina on SUP boards, while there were about 50 participants in five boats.
Nice weather, attractive route and natural environment Drina gave the participants the opportunity to enjoy the unique experience of the river, but also to get to know the natural beauties of this region through sports and socializing. The increasing number of participants from year to year confirms the growth of interest in this event, but also its potential for the development of sports, adventure and active tourism and the promotion of Ljubovija's tourist offer.

Director of the Tourism Organization of the Municipality of Ljubovija Ivana Smiljanić pointed out that the SUP regatta attracts an increasing number of participants every year and that Drina offers numerous opportunities for the development of such content.
- This regatta has great potential to become a significant development event sports, adventure and active tourism, but also for the promotion of the Drina and the entire tourist offer of Ljubovia. Rafting from next year The "Drina regatta" club and the Tourism Organization of the Ljubovija municipality will jointly work on the organization of the SUP regatta, with the hope that it will be more more substantial, more massive and more recognizable among domestic guests and visitors from the region - said Smiljanić.
The fourth edition of the event "Ljubovija - Na veslu prica" once again showed the possibilities that the Drina provides for the development of new content and activities on leads, as well as the importance of such events for the future development of Ljubovija's tourist offer.
