The monastery is from a more recent era. It is located halfway between Ljubovija and Krupanj, between the villages of Rujevac and Postenje. It was built during the war in the former Yugoslavia, from 1991 to 1994 by the efforts of locals and people good will. By the decision of the Bishop of Sabac, Lavrentije, in 2010, a nunnery was founded near the temple.
