In LjuboviJa, the solemn Academy of Saint Sava was held in the organization of Primary
"Petar Vragolić" school and "Vuk Karadžić" high school. The event was held in the cinema hall, starting at 4 p.m
classes, and it was preceded by the celebration of the school's glory in these educational
institutions, which began with the consecration
grain and by cutting the Slavic cake.
For the third year in a row, primary and secondary schools jointly celebrate Savindan. Svetosavska
the academy gathered numerous students, parents, friends of schools and representatives of local self-government, among others
to which Milan Jovanović was also the president of the Municipality of Ljubovija.
Savindan, a day dedicated to the first Serbian archbishop, educator and founder of education, St
Savi, is celebrated in schools throughout Serbia as a holiday of knowledge, community and spirituality. Saint Sava is
with his work and vision, he laid the foundations of Serbian culture and education, and his image and work are reminiscent of
the importance of education and preservation of national traditions.
Students and employees of Ljubovia schools sent a message of togetherness and unity through rich
cultural and artistic program. The packed cinema hall was a sign of support for young people to continue cultivating values
which Saint Sava transmitted - education, togetherness and love for the homeland.
