On Saturday 12.07.2025. is traditional Drina regatta was held in Ljubovija, which this year gathered an extremely large number of participants. According to data from the Tourist Organization municipality of Ljubovija, more than 1,000 vessels with about 20,000 participants cruised the Drina, creating a spectacular scene. The regatta was opened by Sara Ćirković representative in boxing, who addressed the audience on that occasion.
- The Drina regatta is a manifestation that requires serious organization and for this reason I would like to congratulate the president of the municipality of Ljubovija. To everyone I wish the participants a successful sailing and to enjoy the beauty of our Serbia together - said Sara.
Regatta participants had the opportunity to enjoy themselves in military beans, which was prepared in Gornja Trešnjica. This traditional meal allowed the participants to rest, refresh and taste local specialties. Military Beans in Gornja Trešnjica is something that all participants look forward to every year. It is the moment when everyone gathers, socializes and enjoys homemade food.
The evening before the regatta, Željko Samardžić entertained the participants with a spectacular concert at the city swimming pools, which was organized by the Tourist Organization municipality of Ljubovija.
The Drina regatta in Ljubovia once again proved its importance as one of the most important tourist events in the region, gathering people from all over the country and beyond, providing them with an unforgettable experience on the beautiful Drina River.
